Unburied Papyrus

Embroiled in the enigma of existence in more strange & unsettling times, one must hold onto the miracle or risk becoming one of the walking dead. These entries are a poor approximation of my life & the wonders that pass through my spirit. If I could communicate properly how much I love you all & assign a tireless list of evolving names that fit I would, instead I offer these random reflections.

Returning to When Civilization Wasn't Civil

One step.
A clatter disturbs the peace.
What peace?
The one in the cave,
not the possible one in the people.
Stop being sarcastic.
How will you ever get clear?
Silence enhances sound.
Yes, minds are bleeding
without hearts.
Don't just listen to the beatings.

How will you ever get clean?
Listen to the distant water
surrounded by quiet.
The bulk of you is returning.
Breathe.
Circulation attunes body-mind.
Breath is filled
with the invisibility of air.
Free the synapses of tissue.

Yes, bombs sound.
Recall the silence of no bombs.
Return to the land footsteps hadn't stamped.
Live the symbiotic.

Let go of dalliance,
ornament, & excess.
These meditations
that invite ego.
Take your gifts
in a wrap of leaves
gone transparent
where they cannot lift them,
in the otherworld
that is here.

Return to the people.
Play Socrates.
Help particular faces
with particular hearts
live their dream of a better world.
Then disappear,
as if one has a choice.

I like the content of the last stanza alone. It's powerful and comprehensive.
